The short answer
Style decides this, not specs. The Volt 2 reaches 850 F and is designed around the fastest bake a 120 V circuit allows — the closest an indoor oven gets to Neapolitan. The Pizzaiolo reaches 750 F and lets you choose which heating elements run, which is what New York and pan styles actually need. Buy for the pizza you make.

The 100 degree gap
850 F against 750 F. In a category where outdoor ovens publish 950 F, 100 F might look like a rounding difference. It is not, because of where in the range it sits.
At 850 F you are in roughly 90-second to two-minute territory — fast enough that the surface sets and colors before the interior dries out, which is the mechanism behind a good high-heat crust. At 750 F you are at three to four minutes, which is a genuinely different bake with a different texture. Neither is worse; they suit different pizzas.
Two different ideas about control
The Volt 2 controls temperature adaptively. Ooni's system adjusts in real time to hold a setpoint through consecutive bakes, which is largely a response to its thin 0.4 in stone having limited stored heat. You set a temperature and the oven works to keep it.
The Pizzaiolo controls heat distribution. Element IQ manages the elements individually, and manual mode hands that control to you: Crust Only drives the base for a deliberate char, Even Heat balances base and top. You are not setting a temperature so much as deciding where the heat goes.
The second is rarer and, for the styles it suits, more useful — it is a direct fix for the imbalance that causes most home pizza failures. The first is more useful if you cook several pizzas in a row at one setting.
What each publishes, and does not
Ooni publishes a full specification for the Volt 2: 1,600 W at 120 V, 70 F to 850 F, 0.4 in stone, 21.5 by 17.4 by 10.4 in, 38.8 lb, 3.6 in opening height, indoor only.
Breville publishes considerably less — no wattage, no weight, no stone thickness on the listing. The wattage omission is the practical one, because it means you cannot check the oven's circuit draw before it arrives. See power requirements for why that matters.
The extras
The Volt 2 adds a proof mode down to 70 F — the same appliance proofs the dough it later bakes — plus roasting, broiling, a boost function and a dishwasher-safe filtration system.
The Pizzaiolo includes a peel and a pan in the box, and ships with named presets for Wood Fired, New York, Pan, Thin & Crispy and Frozen.

What it does well
- 1600 W draws about 13.3 A, which fits inside a standard 15 A North American kitchen circuit — that is the whole reason this oven is practical. See power requirements
